Depression

Depression is very self-centered. He is always hungry. His bossiness hangs around him like pieces of decaying flesh. Once he finds a human to prey on, he will follow him or her for its entire life, bringing with him his cousins Pain, Fear, Anguish, and Sorrow. They refuse to be sent away. When they are angry, you will be punished. They have often left me clinging to sanity like a security blanket. Depression will take you in his arms and squeeze all of the life out of you in a warm, red trickle. Once you are partially gone, he oozes away into the darkness in search of his next meal.

I chose to share this personification because
Ms. Mckenna gave it to me as an example of writing. I don't know who wrote it but it's very very meaningful.
